Hi, I've tried putting this rug... http://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss268/huddsmacca/?action=view¤t=grid.jpg ...onto the floor of a room using vanishing point. However once rendered in vanishing point the rug comes out looking likes this... http://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss268/huddsmacca/?action=view¤t=strange.jpg with an horrendous moire pattern. Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of it?? |

hi, the effect is called moire .... it common with scanning and using certain tecniques with certain images... just my thought... definitely i am no expert... the reason for it is generally the fine lines, the filters have a problem with keeping them right in the texture when you go about using various techniques.... ... so with that in mind what you might try is to upsample your main image signaficantly and then put in the rug and see if that works and then if desire resize your image back to where you want... now there many techniques for removing moire .. this one might work for you... http://www.freetimefoto.com/photoshop/tips/fix_color_moire_pattern.html if not there tons of ways/tutorials on moire |
