Is there any sites that explain how to use airbrushing to get that one of a kind 3D effect? How do you get a 3D effect in photoshop? Thanks for the info if anyone do reply |

a simple 3D bevel can be made with the bevel/emboss style in PS6. (just double click the layer, and select bevel in the resulting dialog box, then play with all the settings to figure out what they do. Now, for airbrushing bevels: Say you have a button or some type shape on its own layer. just click the "lock transparent pixels" checkbox on the layers pallet and get the air brush tool. With the transparent pixels locked you cant paint "off" the button. So just paint the very edge with the brush literally off the object you are trying to airbrush. Move closer little by little and you'll see the results. One side you'll paint with a darker color(shadow), one side with a lighter color(highlight) I'm sorry I don't know of a tutorial right off hand. |

http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/farp/ There are some generic air brushing tutorials in there and a wack of stuff on reflections, transparencies and perspective. nothing directly applicable, but still good reading. |
