Hello, My name is Jacki and i am quite new to Photoshop. I have a question for all of you about Layers. I'm in the process of trying to re-touch a very old photo and I would like to make all of my adjustments in layers so I don't ruin the original digital copy. When I make a new blank layer I can't adjust it. I was told to make sure that 'sample all layers' is selected but I can't find anywhere to make sure that it is in fact selected. I really appreciate your help! Thanks, Jacki |

You must make a copy of the original layer, not a new blank layer... Just drag it over the new layer button |
