Hello everyone, I'm still figuring out the whole photoshop thing:D So ik got a really easy question: I drawed a nice shape with the pen tool, but everytime i try to change the color with the paintbucket, it fills the whole background and not only the leaf. I already tried to create aditional layers but this didn' t work. I got Photoshop CS4! Greetz, Maloto |

You should try to change that "box" on the upper "bar" of photoshop under the menu. It will represent your current "shape color", if you change that, you will be able to change your shape color. Furthermore if you are going to rasterize your layer by right click on layer and then rasterize, you can do CTRL+ [click on layer] to select your layer and fill it with the fill tool. Which is much easier, but it doesn't stay like a vector shape (If I'm correct). |

Shapes have their own color. They don't get painted with the bucket - pixel(raster) layers do. You'd better get hands on some starter tuts before going on. |
