I was wondering if someone can give me a bunch of tips on how and what techniques were used in order to make the following picture: click to view picture |

Whomever created that imported a static 2D render of the 3D object and added some lines and text around it. I doubt such a picture starts out in Photoshop. Most likely its a 3D render using a lot of chrome effects in the 3D rendering software. And since that's probably the case, it isn't too hard to make an abstract cool looking thing in a 3D prog, but this board is not for discussion of any such software. Now you can probably achieve similar results in PS by creating a lot of shapes, the chrome filter, motion blur filter, some slight airbrushing, and some careful use of layer blending modes. It would take some time to do. Just as it took this person a bit to create the 3D render (I'm guessing) in a 3D program. |
