Adobes website When you open a Kodak Photo CD (*.pcd) file in Adobe Photoshop 5.0.x, Photoshop returns the error, "Profile Processor Error: Bad Transform." Solutions Do one or more of the following: Solution 1 Make sure that you target valid RGB, CMYK, or Lab profiles for the Source and Destination settings in the Kodak ICC Photo CD dialog box: 1. In Photoshop 5.0.x, choose File > Open, select a Photo CD (*.pcd) file, and then click Open. 2. In the Kodak ICC Photo CD dialog box, click Image Info, note the Medium of Original value, and then click OK. 3. Choose a resolution from the Resolution pop-up menu. 4. Click Source. Select the source profile based on the Medium of Original value noted in step 3, and then click Open. (See Additional Information for details on which profile to select). 5. Click Destination. Select a destination profile from the list of profiles and then click Open. For best results, select an ICC profile of your working color space. For instructions to create this profile, see document 321574. 6. Click OK. Solution 2 Remove and reinstall Photoshop 5.0 to ensure that all of its default profiles are installed: 1. Exit from Photoshop. 2. Remove any personal files from the Photoshop folder. 3. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel. 4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. 5. Select Adobe Photoshop 5.0 from the list of installed programs and then click Add/Remove. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall process. 7. Reinstall Photoshop 5.0 using the Typical install option. NOTE: If you are reinstalling an upgrade, you will need Disk 1 or the CD-ROM from the previous version of Photoshop for the installer's verification process. 8. Start Photoshop and then open the Kodak Photo CD image.
