Hello, everybody! This is my first post here, and I already love it..... I'm going absolutely crazy trying to figure out how to improve the quality of my clipboard images. I'll be in Internet Explorer and see a picture I like, rt click on it, and copy. I'll come into Photoshop, select file-new, and paste it. Obviously for this to work, the clipboard is the medium used..... Notice the smooth flesh tones. When I direct copy to the clipboard, regardless of the resolution I might adjust, or the amount of RAM I assign to Photoshop, there is noticable disruption in the color. This is troublesome! I notice that there's some pretty noticable distortion in the image quality. When I rt click and save the same image, and then open it, the picture quality is improved. Any suggestions on how I can improve the clipboard quality? I was working on creating a wallpaper of Laeticia Casta for my home PC, and she shouldn't be distorted! Any help would greatly be appreciated! William |

You gave yourself the answer I'm afraid...... Right click.....save the image THEN open it in Photoshop. I see little querky stuff using "copy&paste" but nothing major. In short, If the image quality is that important, take the extra time to Save then Open. and ummmmmm, yeah.... nice picture |

Torn's suggestion is what I'd do as well. Though I can't say I've ever noticed weirdness with clipboard copy/pastes yet. Could be some sort of color management/profile you have setup in PS, which makes it look different in PS than in other programs. I don't know really. |
