I have encountered a problem with the application photoshop 5.5 itself: the main toolbox is frozen which means that you cannot any more access the hidden tools available like the scissors etc. I have reinstalled photoshop several times but nothing helps. Does anybody know this problem and how to overcome it? Since now photoshop has become useless to me.... Ute |

Does save work? If so, save your file — restart your computer — trash your preferences file and relaunch Photoshop. Can't go wrong there. You will have trouble finding the "scissors" tool though, since there isnt one :-( Theres a slice tool. Try Illustrator if you want some scissors! |

Ps 6 puts its "prefs" file in the "application data" folder on windows operating systems. On a mac it is in the "preferences" folder |
