gaussian blur error

hi! i hope this is the right place!!
well the thing is i've been trying to follow your tutorials on the custom made texts - i tried to create the aqua effect but the problem is when i try to use the gaussian blur command i get the following message:
'could not complete gaussian blur command because of program error'
please could you tell me how to fix this please

I get that same error sometimes when I'm trying to print from the File>Print Options>Print box sometimes. - Win 2000? Just a guess.

I'm betting you restarted Photoshop already. If not, that typically fixes it for me. Otherwise, maybe re-install it. --be sure to save all of your actions, and jot down settings and custom stuff before you uninstall though.--

What operating system?
I've seen some weird problems while using Filters on WIn98,Win2000...that just don't happen on the mac.

How large is the file?/How much RAM is in your machine?
IS this a huge 600 DPI image that is 100MB, sometimes you overrun your resources when using filters on large files.
