This dont look all that hard but it might be for me...lol here's the link http://www.calian.com/about.asp I would like to try something like this is there a tut out there how do you make different tones and everything else you see. also I got the vbulletin lite version with php 3 I'm new to php so would this be a good chance to learn php or should I use the normal php one or forget it altogather. |

are you talking about the blue area? that would just be a gradient you could set up...

no I mean the whole graphic the grey lines that make the blocks I thought of using guides but that didn't get me anywhere!

you could use guides or a pattern, but I would probaly do it the hard way and make each box then stroke it with the color I wanted the outline to be Just use your marquee tool and make your square, then stroke it by one pixel. Duplicate as many times as you need and then line them up. I'm sure theres probably an easier way

now that I look at that image again it looks like you also need to fill your squares and play with the opacities to get the different color looks...

I'd say that would be a good starting point and yes I'd have them on seperate layers so you can adjust hue/saturations, opacities, etc. And questions keep the board running |

You know that's harder then it look's I tried a soft blue with other squares having a even lighter blue but I guess I'll haveto just play with it.
