Pixel Art. Basic Foundation

hay well im new to this fourm, and on other fourms i havent had much help with this topic, so here goes

I really like Pixel Art, but i dont know where to start, i know when i first started using photoshop u could find nice basic tutorials, the concepts you learnt from these, u built on, and gradular got to more advanced concepts.

Is it the same with pixel art ? like www.eboy.com and www.setpixel.com

Pixel art is really easy to learn.

Just go to a site like www.eboy.com or www.flipflopflyin.com or www.quickhoney.com or www.db-db.com or www.mediamonks.com or www.icontown.de or www.iconfactory.com, download some of their pictures, open them up in Photoshop, and start looking at how they did them.

I personally do everything with the one-pixel size pencil tool. No filters or anything. I still use selection and gradients and so forth, but for pretty much everything I just do it by hand with the one pixel pencil tool.

Another trick is to go to view > new view and leave one view at 100% so you can see what it will look like on screen, then set your other view at like 1000% so you can see enough detail to manipulate each pixel. That way you don't have to switch between the two.
