Dudes

I am really in need of some ideas for a interface I am just learning PS6 i know a little and am up to my eyeballs in tutorials and i need someone to get me started with a basic inter face and anyone who can give me ideas on how to get the 3d effect on jsut normal images like do you just use the gradient overlay or the gradient bucket tool or what. Anything that will be easy to do but look very good.
