I'm feelin kinda stupid...I need to blend two pictures that are next to each other as seperate layers...but is there any other way to perhaps blend them without feathering? I had some smart artsy fartsy woman tell me there was a way to do it....something to do w/ the airbrush tool? I just wanna fade some edges into each other so the edges don't seem so harsh and clean cut. |

Yes your artsy fartsy woman knew what she was talking about (makes a change)- Layer Masks are you answer - you add a layer mask to a layer by hitting the layer mask icin at the bottom of the layers palette - now you can paint into it with either white or black. Choose a soft arirbrush of about 50% opacity and paint black into the mask - you can paint out your edges how you want in this way. Its like using the eraser tool but with the advantage that you can paint the layer back in (with white—hit the x key) any time you want. |
