ok, i want to make a graphic that is 300 dpi. now please explain how i would go about doing this. now i said "DPI" not "PPI" cus its for printing purposes and some people tell me ppi and i get confused .


basically im making a graphic i want to print at 300 dpi but i dont see any setting (adobe photoshop 6.0) that lets me set the dpi.

though there are subtle differences... if you make it 300 PPI you will have 300 DPI

FILE>NEW>

in the resulting dialog box, set your "physical" deminsions to the size of the "finished" piece

and make the resolution 300 PPI
