How can I make a part of a graphic transparent. An example of this would this would be the selection of a small part of a graphic that would frame another graphic that I prepared. |

easiest way in PS 6 is to just build on layers on top of the background layer... or do like I do and just trash the background layer to begin with. Then use: FILE>SAVE FOR WEB> select the .gif format and check the "transparency" check box... Set the "matte" setting either to "none" or set it to the color of the background on which the graphic will be placed. Anything that shows "transparent" in photoshop will be transparent |
