help. I'm trying to render a text but I just couldn't. I saw this one in this website http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/text/rough_metal_text/rough_metal_text.php unfortunately, I'm using Photoshop 6 so the layer/type/render described in the page doesn't work for me. |

guess ur a real beginner.... render a text : right click the "T" on the text layer and click render reserve transparency : look at the layers panel, the option on just below the layer mode. check that. all this can be found in the manual, so read it.... tutorials on these can be found all over the net and in teamphotoshop.com |

I'm really sorry for being irritating. I'm a super newbie here so I apologize. Thanks for the help. One more thing. How can I preserve transparency? |

Don't worry about being irritating... EVERYONE has to start somewhere.... and this is a place to get questions answered. PReserve transparency in PS 6 is the check box on the layers pallet that is now called "lock transparent pixels" You ain't irritating me.... I cant sleep.... so I work! |

Thanks a lot. I could have been doing this forever if I haven't stumbled to you (been doing photoshop today for 7 hours straight). That was tough, I didn't notice that little checker thingy was the preserve transparency. Thanks a ton! |
