I've seen it in many magazines but rarely on the web. I don't think it's part of the Trade Gothic family...

Anyone have an idea?

Yeah it's the "FUELING THE DIGITAL".

Although, I've played with verdana and arial and it doesn't seem to be those either.

I even checked identifont.com. Oh well..

If you use "Myriad" at 33pt and 50 character spacing (I'm using Illustrator) you'll get close. The G's and D's are the most noticable differences from that phrase.

Its a very standard sans serif - the thing is its been artificially condensed - (in Quark Xpress language "scaled" horizontally) - and the tracking is very loose.

In Photoshop — just use free transform and squash it a bit and then increase the letter spacing (keyboard shortcut; control shift - right arrow)

I just asked a friend of mine who knows a lot about typography. The font is Helvetica Neue Light Extended.

Thanks for the tip, ALIENA!!
