I went to the critique area of the message boards and saw some incredile work! Some were logos while others were just abstract images that looked incredible! I was wondering how you guys make these things. I don't think you scan pics or collect pics off the internet to make these things, so I was wondering how you'll did it. Any info and tips are welcome.

Thanks!

That's a pretty vague question. If you post specific examples, we may be able to help you figure out a technique a little easier.

Thanks for replying. I'm talking about pictures like these:

If you made these pics and would NOT want me to link to them, please reply and I will take it off.

I don't need to know their exact ways of doing it, but how they started it. I just don't know how they make their shapes and stuff.

Thanks

Well, I think brev87 used a 3d program like 3D Studio Max or Cinema 4d or something for the 3d stuff. Then mixed in random shapes and a pic of that destiny's child chick. The grungy stuff on the left was probably done with a brush downloaded from www.surfstation.lu or a similar site. Search for grunge brushes to find more.

Vida's... well... good luck. Vida does all of that by hand with an airbrush. I suggest practicing for several years and studying traditional hand drawing techniques. Also perspective, etc.

Hope that helps.

Oh, they use another program to make those shapes. I thought that they used Photoshop to do those.

Thanks for the info.
