ok im working on the text for my interface, i chose text rather than buttons. ok anyway i was wondering if i make the text on the interface THEN send it to imageready to animate or make the text in another window, send to imageready, then put on the interface.. also how do u make a rollover that produces a new button look AND shows another picture somewhere else AND can still be clicked like any normal link would be? |

You can do that with Imageready. Slice up your image with the slice tool. Then choose the slice that you want the effect to come from. Then go to "View-->Rollovers" Then open the image that you want to appear in Photoshop. (You'd better make it beforehand in Photoshop). Select-->All. Then Copy. Then go back to ImageReady (make sure that the slice you want the effect to come from is selected). Edit-->Paste. That will make a new layer. On your layers pallette, HIDE (uncheck the box) of the new image. Then on your rollover window, click the "New Rollover State" button [looks like a page with a folded corner]. Then check the "Show" box on the layers pallette for that layer that you want the rollover to be. Now click the "Hide Slices" button [right button right below the color-picker]. Now choose the "Move Tool" [very top-right button]. Then move that new image to where you want it to be. Make sure you have it EXACTLY where it's supposed to go. Now go back down to the layers pallete, and make sure the "OVER" state is selected. Now click the "New State" button 2 more times to make the "DOWN" and "CLICK" states the same as the 2nd state. Now go and click the Original State ["NORMAL"] and click "New State" which will make the "OUT" state. Now repeat as necessary. |

And about the wire-- I'm still working on finding the time to do that in Flash. Shouldn't take more than about 2 minutes......but I'm a busy guy. |
