Dear All i have got a problem in replacing color...

I am using PhotoShop 6.0, and i am going to edit a photo. In this photo i need edit a stuff which have black and other colors. i should replace the black color to another color. I use the Replace Color and i can successfully select the area but when i slide the HUE, no change in color.

I have retry my action on another Color that i can successfully done the replace color.

I think that the replace color may not replace the original of black. If so, how can i replace the black color?

Am i did something wrong? Or is there any other function to replace black to other color?

Urgent.. Please Help

The EASY way:

after your desired area is selected, and you're sure it's selected properly and not not going to be completely jagged, do the following.

Make either the foreground or background color your desired color choice-->

Edit-->Fill-->Foreground/Background Color (Insert your color here)

**Note, this is the EASY way to do it. If you want other ways, we sure can do that for you. But since this is in the "New To Photoshop Help", I'll stick with this for now.

Or you can check the "colorize" box in the dialog box. You'll have to raise the lighten/darken slider to view the color (since it will be the darkest)

Try it out, it may work.
