I can't let this slide... ArainsKit....you really think this qualifies as an "Advanced Photoshop Question?" This is more like Photoshop for Infants, hour 2. You really need to have a read through the Photoshop Online Help files that come on the CD....if you own the CD, that is. Simultaneously, you need to dig into the application and start simply clicking on stuff to see what happens. It's amazing what you'll discover. Did you know that Photoshop allows you to work in color and not just default black & white? Your question qualifies for a spot on the top 5 most lame list. Congratulations. |

did this one get moved because now we're in the "new to photoshop help" i always thought forums were somewhere people could go to learn new things, not get flamed for not knowing enough. sure its a very basic question and with a little flip through the photoshop manual he would have found the answer, but he chose to come to a forum and ask people who know more than he does. its responses like yours that scare off traffic to the site |

I steadfastly refuse to apologise, because doing so would be tantamount to condoning the rampant laziness that seems to affect a disturbingly high number of new Photoshop dabblers. I don't consider asking a question this simple in a forum a very good show of initiative, particularly when one could more quickly obtain an answer by viewing the online help files contained on the CD. If the questioner has a pirated version, and no help files....double-bah on them...they deserve all the frustration they encounter. |

I agree. I like to help, but if the helpee can't put forth even a little effort, then I don't really feel the need.
