hey guys! Can anybody tell me how to make this 3d figure in PS: like this: http://www.mediatemple.net/services/web_hosting/applications/xadra_fortress/xadra_fortress_small.gif I try to make it : 1st: use Regtangular Marquee tools draw a squareness.copy & paste 3. 2nd:use Text tools write "F" in canvas. resterizer text later to Layer......... unite them. 3rd: copy & paste and move a new to left and top 1px......... ...............but next.I don't know to how to do it ..... help.................:rolleyes: |

I would personally do it pixel by pixel with the pencil tool... But if you want to take the easy way out... You could do it in a 3D program, which would be a little bit of overkill... Or you could use draw them all as if you were looking straight at one of the 'walls' and then use the skew or perspective filters to put it at that angle. |

That entire logo is in an isometric format. One of the easiest things to do to create a logo like that would be to use the polygonal lasso selection tool, OR the vector pen tool. Holding down the shift key produces 90 and 45 degree angles to be made instead of just free movement. Just hold down the shift key while using the polygonal lasso to make a few selections in the shapes of that picture. Lighter areas should be made on a layer above the darker areas. Should be quite simple. |

I would grab myself a copy of adobe illustrtor and go to town. Create a 3d box and scale each into little modules. My opinion.
