Ok , Here's my story . I took a photo , there was a certain image in the photo I wanted to use , so I used the lasso tool along with the magic wand tool . I selected the whole area of only what I needed . I created a new document with transparent clicked . My cut out image was near close to perfect . No rough edges or anything of that matter .

So I go to save my image . I choose gif , I click transparent . I finish the whole deal by saving it . But something keeps happening that I cant figure out . When I import the gif to Flash , there is a white border around it . That is the problem at hand . So any help would be much appreciated . If your in the mood for a more personal response , please I.M. me on aim , s/n- shawneboy1200s . Or email me . shawneboy1200s@aol.com . Because I may or may not be back to this forum anytime soon . But thank you for taking the time to read my set back .

more then likely, the "matte" setting is set to white

set it to "none" or the color of your background in Flash.

When I import stuff into Macromedia Flash, I save as PNG-24 with transparency. You lose no quality, and you can have as much multiple levels of translucency, just like a .PSD. Which will allow you to retain 24-bit color and have a really smooth edge to your picture.

Flash has the unique ability to compress PNG files as transparent JPGs. By far the best way to import graphics into Flash.
