Recently my girlfriend has been having probs with her PC so I offered to reinstall the software. So today I began the project formatted the hard drive and loaded Windows OK then went to install PhotoShop Elements(PSE) and got to id# but have Not been able to figure out where it is. Windows has their id# (product key) on the users guide but was told that there was None for PSE. Would appreciate any help. Thanks |

Doesn't your girlfriend remember how she installed it the first time? If not...Contact Adobe. They'll be happy to help if it's a legal copy.

Yes it is a legal copy. Someone more knowledgeable about Photoshop loaded it for her. There are some stickers on the back of the CD case but i have no idea which one to use--atleast MS tells you how many spaces there are and labels one as the product key.

How about calling the person who installed it? Or gather all the associated numbers you can find with the packaging and try 'em all. If it's not a valid serial number, you'll get an alert box saying so. Or call Adobe. |

That is the prob--he is away on business. I think you are missing the reason why this was posted. Am not looking for any product id#s to be given out. Am Only interested in knowing where to look for it and what form it is. For example the Win98 1st ed that I loaded for her has it on the front of the owners manual under product key and above the bar code and is 25 spaces and includes both letters and numbers. |

There should be a sticker on the CD case that has a serial number that takes the form of something like: PPLVVVZZXXXXXX-CCC (Single License) PPLVVVZZXXXXXX-NNN-CCC (Multi License) The format is the following: PP: Product Identifier L: Language Identifier W = US E = English International F = French G = German I = Italian P = Spanish J = Japanese T = Chinese K = Korean VVV: Product Version ZZ: Package ID/Media Type X = NFR 1 = CD U = Upgrade 2 = CD (Bundle, I think) B = Bundle 3 = 3,5" Floppy R = Regular 5 = 5,25" Floppy E = Evaluation 7 = CD P = ? XXXXXX: Sequence Number, 6 digits NNN: Number of licenses CCC: Checksum This is wa-a-a-a-y more info than you should need...................... |

Thanks much! Was looking at it all the time. What confused me was the label PN:#s and PN:#s one to the left of the barcode and the other above it. Where did you find this info? PS from this thread you definately can tell I have never loaded an Adobe product. |
