Filter / Application query

Does anyone know of a photoshop filter or application that does that cool 'picture made up of loads of other little pictures' thang?! I've seen it in print and on TV but am struggling to find any info on it.

A name and supplier of said filter/application would be primo!!

That would need a huge database of pictures to sort through. I don't think you're gonna be able to find something like that.
