can someone please explain to me how i can create some fog like you see early in the morning coming of a lake or swamp? Thanks

I'd do it with a large, really soft airbrush set to like 10% opacity in a really light gray, followed by the same thing in a bright white brushed in lighly in places for highlights try that and see what ya get.... If its not what you are looking for can you find an example to show? |

make a layer above your original image and then make a selection basically where you want the fog. Then feather the selection to make your edges soft. (you dont want cutoff lines where the fog ends.) after that make sure your colors are set to black and white then goto filter>>render>>clouds. Then set the blending mode for that layer to screen to get rid of the black. Play around with the opacity to set the amount of fog to your liking. That should do it.
