once you have a basic interface shape in black, how do you go about coloring it to make it attractive? also do you make the buttons on the same file or open a new one to make them? please dont tell me to use the edit>fill option.

Just Kidding. Just like Good Christian said, start out with tuitorials. This is something that you cannot just jump in to. You'd probably be better of starting with basic tuitorals also. Because it seems as if though this is your first time on Photoshop, I would start at the VERY beginning of the tuitorals. By the time you finish those, you probably won't even need to look at an interface tuitoral. |

He seems quite new at this, I would not quite tell him to use channels yet. You'll just confuse him. |

 what are channels?!! ;) no just kiddin', I've started about 3 months ago with photoshop and i followed and still folow almost every tutorial i find. Most people start with reading the manual, i didn't. I think it's better to just get the hang of the basics first and then look in the manual for other techniques etc. (or maybe that's just because i'm Dutch :D) |

torn gives good advice AQ is an awesome site for you to learn from but you have to understand that with a program like photoshop you wont be making images like you see in AQ after a few months, you've just gotta keep pluckin away at it. I've been doing it for 3 years now and im still not too satisfied with my stuff.
