making .ico's

hello people... newbie here.

can anyone help? is there a PC plugin that will allow me create icons in PS? ... or 'save as .ico'... if not, can anyone recommend some software?

Shame that Photoshop doesn't allow saves directly as .ico files. I use Microangelo, which is pretty much what I read everybody uses to work with .ico files.

Though all I do with it is import a .bmp I created in photoshop.

Wish I could think of a freeware one, since I really don't use icon editing that much, but this should do it for you.
