Alright I know this will sound dumb, but How do I get more than 1 color font to appear when I type something? For instance when making a banner, I have a font thats called Flame, if I wanted to write the word flame on a banner, how do I get red orange and yellow to appear, instead of just 1 solid color. Thanks for helping the newbie |

Well, there are different ways to do this. You can either a) create more than one text layer and overlap them, adjusting opacity (in the layer options). Or, you can b) use a selection of the text on a new layer, and airbrush the alternate colors in, which gives you complete control over how much is seen and how the finished product looks. Try them out, SavageDawg Akuta-Graphics |

One more option.... create a new layer on top of your text, set the blending mode to "Screen" and apply a custom gradient. |

if using choice "b" in SavageDawgs' choics, couldn't you also use an orange/yellow gradient on the selection in the new layer? Not sure, just thinking while typing..:D |

Sure, you could use a yellow/orange gradient, but you would only have SO much control over where the colors were and how they went. With the airbrush, you would have TOTAL control. ;) My ways aren't the only way, just my way. SavageDawg Akuta-Graphics |
