well, you can do it in illustrator and import it into photoshop, or, you can hand turn each letter to make it follow the path.

In photoshop 6 you can munipulate text into several pre-set paths. chances are you'll find one that will work on the path you created.

with the un-rendered taxt layer selected look at the top of the Ps interface and click on the button that implies it will do text on a path.

I tried that and PS tells me it doesn't work because I'm using "faux bold" on the text layer. Needless to say, I didn't use any bold text. Am I misinterpreting this or what?

If you don't own or can't afford Illustrator or Freehand, check out Extensis' Photographics or Human Software's OttoPaths. Both of these Photoshop plugins will allow you to create true text-on-a-path.

Even though I also own and use Illustrator and TypeStyler, I've had Photographics in my arsenal for a couple years now, use it all the time and highly recommend it.
