think it's just a case of your PS workspace settings being different to your desktop - i have this problem, the Windows/Apple standard gammas are far harsher than i like so when i view my pics here at work they tend to be a bit brighter etc. if you tell PS to use the Apple/Win set ups (i believe they're one of the standard options of settings you can pic from) it should show your pic the same as your desktop.

I have tried various different settings but it seems that nothing works. The color difference is significant. When I have a logo or picture designed it comes out QUITE different in windows preview... I really need a concrete solution for this because this is ruining my life right now
