how to create a brush? and SGI problems

hi,
I work with a mac-intosh
I ca'nt read any sgi files that i created with after-effect. I have to rename
the SGI extension to RGB (:()
Is there a plug-in for macintosh?

I ca'nt create a custom brush in ps6, is there something i do'nt understand
or missdoing

makin a brush is easy. make the layout you want the brush to have and then select it and go to the brushes palette and click on the black arrow and then save as brush or smoehow like that

That's the problem there is no "save as brush" or something like menu
there is (this is a frensh version so the translation will be approximative)

new brush-> create a new brush which is not custom
initializ brushes->not the good one
load brushes->nope
save brushes->not again
replace brushes->do'nt think so
rename brush->grrr
supress brush->oups

so where is the "create brush" that i'm used to in ps5,5?

tchook,

mark out the area you want to use as your custom brush with the marquee tool. then select Define Brush from the Edit menu.
