how to scale without quality loss? |

Hello guys, i scanned a photo, then edited and scaled it with photoshop . but it lost quality after scaling. [B][/B]how can i scale it without quality loss?[B][/B] hope you can help me. thanks in advance. |

You can't scale an image 'larger' without loosing image quality... it's just the nature of the beast. Only way to get more image quality is to scan at a higher dpi. What did you scan it at? If it's just for viewing on monitors, 72dpi is fine. If it's for printing you'll want to scan higher; 300dpi is best. If you want to scan a 5x7 (for example), edit it in Shop, scale the size twice as big and print out... then you'll need to scan at 600dpi. Make sense? |
