Help with this look/effect

I am trying to duplicate this Hawaiian Tropic logo for a decal set to do a diecast conversion. I have the Hawaiian tropic logo as an eps file but cant figure out how to create the black (drop shadow did not work to well at getting this look) and I tried for a good 30 min at least.

The image on the car looks like it is made from two separate copies of the logo.

make a duplicate of you existing file and convert it to black. It also has a whitish stroke applied to it. It also seems to have been stretched or warped to a more elongated shape

You can now combine the two images as separate layers and manipulate them until you are happy with the layout.
