I have an image I am making. I want the gradient to only appear on part of the image however I have no success with this. Here is the image: http://www.stringsdepotplus.com/images/fl%20testing_02.gif I want to make a gradient in place of the light blue background. When I do try to make a gradient, it makes it across the whole image which ruins everything. Please advise how I can accomplish this. Thanks!! |

You don't say what sort of gradient you want, or what the colours should be. Here is an example of a linear gradient using two of the colours that are already in the image. This was done by selecting the light blue area and then applying the gradient from top to bottom of the light blue panel. One thing I would say is that the GIF format does not usually render gradients very well. If you find the quality of the gif is not good enough after you apply the gradient, you may want to consider PNG or JPEG. Good luck. |
