I am having trouble restoring this photograph of my grandparents wedding picture. I've tried using the clone and healing brush tools but they haven't worked. I am using Photoshop CS3 and found an 'Action' that is supposed to be useful for removing creases and cracks. It is called 'de-crack'. I haven't had luck using this at all with this photograph. Can anyone help? The following link is the picture I need help with. http://wedding.gotdns.com/ggwedding.bmp Right click and save this image. The image is 6MB If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |

Hey, I am having the same problem. When I try to run this action, it completes the first few steps successfully, but then gives the following error messages: "The command 'copy' is not available." "The command 'paste' is not available." "Could not complete the command because the active layer is empty." Then it just fails. Apparently this action is supposed to do wonders. You can view examples, and download it here: http://www.retouchpro.com/tutorials/decrack/index.html I am guessing thought that it was designed for a much older version of photoshop, and as such no longer functions correctly in CS3. I am not too familiar with PS actions, so if anyone out there is, could you please take a look at this and see if you can figure out what is going wrong here. If not, could someone please point me to some tutorials, or suggestions on how to fix creases and cracks in old photos? Thank you! |
