When printing in Photoshop on 17" X 22" paper, I cannot get a 15.5" X 20" image centered side to side. It will print 1/2" on one side and 3/4" on the other. It will print properly in Corel or if I draw a rectangle with the pencil tool, but the moment I put a bitmap in place, it prints off center. I feed in the manual slot with the guide all the way to the right. Thanks for any help, michel ditlove |

Sorry, forgot to mention that I've tried both the "maximum size" and "centered" modes.

It could have a lot to do with the program you are using the print. Try another program.. ;) Akuta Same |

I did try Corel, as I mentioned in my post, and it prints correctly out of Corel. It also prints correctly if I draw lines with the line tool, it seems to be only when I try to print a bitmap that it goes off center. |

I would think it would be one of couple of things, just off the top of my head...without seeing it in the "print preview" window. 1) is that bitmap itself hanging off the sheet in corel? If yes..... Crop it appropriately in Photoshop/Photopaint...if the image is to "bleed" (I.E. leave the sheet when trimmed) be sure to specify the bleed amount. 2) are you using the "Fit to paper selection" functionality? If yes....turn it off and specify an exact percentage for the enlargement/reduction Also.... Turning "tiling" on when the image doesn't "need" to be tiled will automatically center the single tile in the "center" of the usable space. (this is from CorelDraw.... I don't know if "ALL" applications do this when the "tiling" function is used unnecessarily.) |

I'm trying to print directly out of Photoshop, I can't find the tile function you mention. It shows properly in the print preview window, yet prints off center. The image size is 15.5" X 20" on 17" X 22" paper, I set the paper size in the printer, set the image size in photoshop. I've tried to use both the image size and the paper size to see if it would center, it does not. It does this only with bitmaps, lines drawn with the drawing tool, which I assume are vectors, print correctly centered. michel |
