I assume you have a early copy of the CS4 development version known as Stonehenge.

The only thing I can think of that might be a factor here is that, when the CS3 beta was released, the installation of the beta deleted one of the startup scripts of CS2, which meant that there were startup problems with CS2.

It is possible that something similar is going on here. Uninstalling the CS3 beta did not correct the problems as the deleted file had not be saved in a backup during the installation. You had to replace the missing script to get CS2 to work again.

There's always some risk involved when installing pre-release software.

I'm sorry you are still having problems.

I'm afraid I don't have time to go into detail with your problem. There are a couple of things you might try.

You could try resetting your Photoshop preferences to the factory default.

Next you could try a repair installation of one of the Photoshop versions that has stopped working.

Then you could try a full uninstall/re-install of the one of the problem versions.

Reset the preferences before you do either of these installation options, as they do not always seem to do that during that process.

Finally, if all else fails, you could go to Adobe support and get some official help from them. I think they will charge you for this sort of support.

Well, yes all has failed, I deleted everything related to photoshop to make sure, then I reinstalled and even deleted the preferences, but nothing. Now I have to download 7 again.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you are still having problems.

I'm afraid I can't think of anything else that might be causing your problems.

Perhaps you should contact Adobe Support and ask for their help.

Good luck.
