Issues when trying to save anything w/ PS CS3

This problem just popped up without any apparent reason. Thing is, PS works perfectly, except when I try to save my work. Whether I use the "Save" option or the "Save As.." one, the program's window becomes unselectable, but PS itself doesn't stop working. It doesn't appear as "Not Responding" in Task Manager.
As far as I know, normally, when you use the "Save As..." option, the little path selection window opens as the son of the big program window. As long as the little window is open, the father window is unselectable. When I use the "Save As.." option, the son window comes up, but dissapears within the second and the big window remains unselectable.

I've tried reinstalling PS (I have it as part of the Adobe CS3 Suite), but the problem's still there. Has anyone encountered this issue before or has any idea how I can fix it?

Uhm, I don't know whether I've been clear enough about my problem. If anyone wants any clarifications, please say so.
