Hello Photoshopper's. I am admittedly a novice with just a beginner course from many moons ago under my belt. I infrequently have the following problem and can't figure out why: I work on an image, be it a photo or a little icon or banner and get the colours looking just the way I like but when I go to upload it on another forum or on facebook, the colours all look as though they've been drained or faded away. Any ideas on what might cause this? I've tried saving it as every type of image imaginable and the same thing happens. :( |

Have you converted your images to sRGB before uploading? They will look better if you do this. |

Yes, I have, and it still happens every now and again. Might it be anything else? |

I have exactly the same problem and its causing hell as all my images are used online or digitally by remote users. The colours that come up outside photoshop (even on the same computer!!) are similar to the ones I get in Bridge when first opened...before Bridge decides to optimise them automatically. Is there anything I can do about this optimisation or the colour loss problem? It really is becoming a headache as I am trying to launch my own website and the images just look awful. |
