Really stuck

Hi all, im a complete photoshop noob tbh I do web sites for friends and ive just built a new one for a m8. Problem is there is a logo on the site that I want to change. Its within a flash movie but ive managed to get it out of that its in .png format so I assume its been created with photoshop. The problem im having is that the logo appears to be just text so when it appears in the flash movie there is no background to it, just the text.

Ive tried to create on in photoshop with a transparent background but that doesnt seem to work, here is the pic



All I need to do is change that text to say something else, any help would really be appreciated.
