Hello, Everyone, I hope you are doing well. The title may be a bit confusing, so please allow me to explain. I am trying to select all parts of an image that is a specific color somehow. For example, I have an image with 100 different colors (and shades), and I just want to select a specific color, say "462c1b," which is dark brown. Is there a way to select just that brown color on all parts of the image? I am trying to change everything that is brown in the image to a different color. Thank you. |

Like many things in Photoshop there are a number of ways to change a colour. You have the option in Image/Adjustments/Replace Colour In the same menu there is also the option for Selective Colour You might try the Magic Wand Tool set to zero tolerance and non-contiguous. You might also try to select a single pixel of the colour you want and then use Select/Select Similar. If your colour is of a large area, and you want to change the colour without losing the underlying texture of the object, then you can select the area and then create a solid colour adjustment layer of the selected area. You then change the layer blending of the adjustment layer to "Colour". All of these methods will select multiple pixels of the same or near same colour. To some extent it depends on exactly how you want to use the resulting selection and, to some extent, your own abilities with Photoshop. |
