I am trying to make a simple gif with a transparent background. I need the gif to say "CLOSE X" but when i upload the image, it has white squares around the letters making it almost unreadable. All i did was go to new, chose transparent background. typed the word CLOSE X and then went to save for web, gave it a name and chose original, not optimized then saved it. Is there a better way

hi, not sure what procedures your using... but here what i would do 1. open new file in the box make sure you set up for transparent 2. when new file displayed you should see background of white and grey boxes, that indicates the background is transparent 3. then choose the color for your text 4. on the text tool... make sure you pick the standard text tool and not the MASK text tool..... the mask text tool will look like the letters have dancing ants and clear ... 5. then do your typing 6. then save as gif, in one of the following box there should be check box for transparency.... make sure that check.... and that basically it.... |
