hide selection highlighting on font?

You know when you highlight a font and then go through the fonts and it changes, I dont want it to be highlighted so I can see how it really looks. I found the shortcut to do this a few weeks ago but now I cant find it! I thought it was ctl, alt and n, but its just not working.

Does anyone know? Also is there a way to have it perminently on?

Ive found it now, its ctrl + h, but you need to have the fonts selected first otherwise it doesnt work. Dont know how to put it on permenently though. Hmm seems to stay on.
