Up and coming photographer needing some help.

Hello guys, today is my first day on the forum and I really need some help.
As the title says I'm a free lance paintball photographer trying to figure out how one of my favorite paintball photographers composes his images.

Here's an example shot of what I am trying to achieve. All help is appreciated.

Could you be more specific? What effects are you trying to achieve?

Yeah, I don't see the problem.
If you want to figure out how he composes his shots, just look at the image?!

He's using a zoom lens, and is probably using a wide aperture.
The black and white, including tint, is easily produced in photoshop.
