I have a problem. Last year I created a postcard for my business using PS6. I edited an old card that I had from what I think was a jpg or pdf. I now have photoshop cs2, and I need to edit the text on the card only, not the background. I have it saved as a jpg, and a pdf, however once I open it in CS2, what do I do to be able to delete the old text and begin typing new? I did it once before, but I'm brain dead and can't seem to figure it out again. I'm using PS CS2 and windows Xp. Any help is great appreciated! |

If the image has been flattened you'll have to start over from the background image you have. If its still a layered file you just delete/edit the text layers.

I guess that's my problem, is I've only ever had a copy with text already on it. So since I've done it once somehow I'm sure It can be done again. What's the easiest way to delete/edit the text layers? Thanks for the help! |

If you only have a copy of the image without the layers, there is no way to easily remove the text.
