Hey everyone.. I am trying to make a picture that pretty much looks the same as http://webtemplatebiz.com/show-template-1930.html.. My problem is that I want to make the bottom right effects, but dont know how to. I can make the title, and I'm trying to create a picture (the man) aswell, but the bottom effects I have no idea how to make. A side note: I'm not trying to create it in Flash, it doesnt have to move etc., I am trying to create the picture as a background image which i'll take to dreamweaver and create buttons and content. Does anyone know a nice way to do this? Help on everything is appreciated since I'm quite a newbie Thanks in advance |

Search on google for grunge effect tutorials. This effect was quite popular a while back, and is quite easy to produce. Use grunge brushes and fonts to create the basic effect. |

Thanks a lot man, messing about wid it now Do you know how the photo has be retouched aswell? I was thinking of just "Sin City"-styling it and then maybe put a gradient on, but the picture that has been used has some very cool grey tone beneath the mouth |

They vectorized the photo and filled a layer with a diagonal pattern, then they changed the blending mode of the pattern layer so only the black gets affected. Vectorize the photo (basically you have to play around with image -> adjustments -> posterize and clean up afterwards): http://www.melissaclifton.com/tutorial-vector.html How to make the pattern you'll find here: http://www.ethicsdesigns.com/tutorial_diagonal_patterns.php |
