A stuck, envalope?

Sorry for this newbie question, i've only been using photoshop for a few weeks and everything this was working fine till today. There is an small gray "01" and a picture of an envalope stuck in in upper left hand coner of everything I try to work on... anyone know how to get this to go away?

To get rid of this you need to go into the view menu, on the top tool bar, and in the Show dropdown menu, choose the "slices" option, that should do it.
