How do I cut text out of a picture?

I have a picture that I want to use as the background and cut my text out of it. I hope I'm explaining it right! Does anyone know how to do this?!

A standard cut will do that but it will leave a blank area. The only way this can be done to overlay the text is sample areas around the text with the cloning tool or the healing brush. End result is you will not be cutting anything out and your just going to fake those areas. I hope this helps.
