Difficult to be certain from such small samples, but I would say the writing is real. I have three reasons for thinking this. One, the writing makes a very good fit to the contours of the leg it is on and the light gradient seems to be right. This level of randomness is difficult to reproduce in software. Two, the area on the leg without the writing has some pixel pattern disruption compared to the one with the writing. This may indicate that one of the clone/healing/patch tools have be used. Three, When you look at the the two images side by side at high magnification, the the leg image without the writing seems to have considerably more jpeg artifacts. This is likely due to the image without the writing being saved more often than the image with the writing. So it is possible that the writing was cloned out and the image resaved as a jpeg at least once. I can't be 100% sure of my conclusion but, taking all three points together, I think it is a reasonable guess that the image without the writing has been altered. Have fun. |

I'm not sure what you're asking. The third image looks real for the same reasons I already gave. However, it is almost impossible to be certain from these images. They are too small, are very poor quality and they appear to have all be saved with different compression settings or have been re-saved a different number of times to each other. This means that the amount of jpeg artifacts is very variable between the images, and makes comparison difficult. What is it you are hoping to find out from your question? It is definitely possible to add text to an image and make it almost impossible to detect. Are you trying to replicate it? Are you in dispute with someone who you think has breached your copyright? Without knowing the context of your question, I don't know what else to say to you except that I thought the original image without the text had been cloned. Have fun. |

It's nothing to do with copywrite/legal issues.

It is very difficult to tell if either of these images is real or fake. As I said in my previous post, the images are too small, have a low resolution and are of very low quality. In addition, the latest image you asked for an opinion on is a .png image, where the previous ones were .jpg. That makes comparison even more difficult, as the saved quality of the images vary. The only thing I can add to my previous reply is that, on the evidence of the images you have used, the images with the writing look equally real, or fake. There does not appear to any major difference between them which would immediately make you think that one was fake and one was real. Sorry I can't be of more help. Bye for now. |
